Private party food truck hire

Food truck hire for parties in London

Birthdays, garden parties, engagements, christenings, graduations — if you can fit the truck, we can feed the room. Proper Philly cheesesteaks, cooked to order at your own event.

How it works

You host. We handle the food.

No hired kitchen, no borrowed trestle tables, no you standing over a barbecue while everyone else has a drink. We turn up, cook, serve and take the mess with us — street food catering without the washing up.

  • We can pitch on a driveway, a wide private road, a car park, a field or a village hall forecourt
  • Completely self-sufficient — we do not plug into your house or run your taps
  • Everything cooked to order, so nothing is sitting around going cold
  • Fixed price per head agreed in writing before you pay a deposit
  • We clear our own waste and leave the pitch clean
  • Vegetarian options available — let us know numbers when you book

What we get booked for

Private events we cater

A food truck suits almost any celebration where people would rather be standing, chatting and queueing for something hot than sitting down to a plated meal.

Birthday parties

18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th birthdays. The truck becomes part of the party, and nobody has to cook on their own birthday.

Garden & house parties

Park on the drive or the side road, serve straight into the garden. Ideal for summer parties and anything with a marquee.

Engagement & anniversary parties

Relaxed, social food for a celebration that does not need the formality of a wedding breakfast. See wedding food truck hire for the big day itself.

Christenings & family celebrations

Naming days, religious celebrations and family get-togethers in a hall, a church car park or back at the house afterwards.

Kids' & family parties

Cheesesteaks, loaded fries and mac & cheese croquettes are an easy sell to children, and the adults get proper food too.

Graduations, leaving dos & reunions

Hall hire, pub gardens, sports clubs and social clubs. If the venue lets a food truck on site, we will handle the rest with them directly.

Parties in London

Parking, access and permits

London parties come with London logistics. None of it is difficult, but it is worth knowing before you book.

  • Private land is simplest. A driveway, a garden with side access, a hall or club car park, or a field needs no extra permission.
  • Street parking needs planning. On a residential street or in a controlled parking zone, you may need a parking bay suspension from your borough council. Apply early — councils need notice.
  • Central London is fine, it just needs more notice. Tell us the postcode and we will flag anything that affects access or travel before you commit.
  • No space at home? Many pubs, sports clubs, community halls and private hire venues happily take a food truck. Ask the venue, then let us talk to them.

Three things worth checking first

  1. Can we get the truck in?

Measure the narrowest point on the route and check for height barriers or low branches. Send us a photo if you are unsure — we would rather know now than on the day.

  2. Where will people queue?

We need a bit of space in front of the hatch so a queue is not standing in a road or blocking a driveway.

  3. Is the council or venue involved?

On private land you are usually fine. On a public road, or at a hired venue, check what they need before you confirm.

Private party food truck hire: your questions

How much does it cost to hire a food truck for a party in London?

We quote a fixed price per head with a minimum spend. The figure depends on guest numbers, how long you want us serving and the postcode. Send your date, postcode and numbers and you will have a written quote within 24 hours. Our food truck hire cost guide explains what moves the price.

Can a food truck park at my house for a party?

Often, yes. A driveway, a wide private road, a field or a hall car park all work, as long as the truck can get in and park on firm, level ground with space for a queue. Send us a photo of the spot and we will tell you honestly whether it works.

Do I need permission from the council?

On private land you usually do not. If the truck has to park on a public road, for example outside a terraced house, you may need a parking bay suspension from your London borough council. Check with them before you confirm the booking.

Do you need power or water from the house?

No. The truck is self-sufficient and carries its own power and water, so nothing has to be plugged into your house.

Can you cater for vegetarians and children?

Yes. Vegetarian options are available if you tell us numbers when you book, and the menu goes down well with children. Tell us about allergies well before the party so we can talk you through what is in each dish — see our allergen information.

How far in advance should I book?

Summer Saturdays and December book up first, so for those a few months ahead is sensible. Weekday and off-season dates are often available at a couple of weeks' notice.

Planning an office do instead? See corporate event catering or Christmas party catering.
