Frequently asked questions

The things people ask before they book. If yours is not here, just ask us.

How much space does the food truck need?

We need a firm, reasonably level pitch with room to open the serving hatch and for a queue to form safely, plus a route wide enough to drive the truck in. Check the narrowest point on the route and any height barriers. Send us the venue name or a photo and we will check access ourselves.

Do you need power and water on site?

No. The truck is self-sufficient and carries its own power and water. That means no cables trailing across your venue and no request to the site's facilities team. If there is a mains hook-up available we are happy to use it.

How far do you travel?

We are based in London and regularly cover London, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Sussex, travelling up to around 100 miles. Longer distances are often still possible — ask and we will tell you honestly whether it works.

How long does set-up take?

We arrive around two hours before service starts and are set up in under an hour. Breakdown is similar, and we clear the pitch completely including our own waste.

How many people can you serve?

We plan capacity around your final guest count so the queue keeps moving and the last person served gets the same food as the first. Tell us your numbers and service window and we will confirm what is realistic.

Do you cater for vegetarians and food allergies?

Vegetarian options are available — let us know numbers when you book. For allergies, speak to us well before your event and we will talk you through exactly what is in each dish. Our food is prepared in a single mobile kitchen where multiple allergens are handled, so we cannot guarantee any dish is completely free from traces. See our allergen information.

How do we book, and what does it cost?

Send your date, venue postcode and guest numbers through the enquiry form. Within 24 hours you get a fixed price per head, any minimum spend, and what we need from the site. A deposit secures the date; the balance is due before the event.

What paperwork can you provide for our venue?

Public liability and employers' liability insurance, food hygiene registration, gas safety certification, a HACCP-based food safety management system, allergen records and a written risk assessment. We send the pack directly to your venue or coordinator so you do not have to chase it.

What happens if it rains?

We cook in all weather. The thing worth planning is where your guests queue — if the venue has a covered area near the pitch, that is where we will aim to park.

Can we book you for a public event we are organising?

Yes. There is a dedicated page for festival and market organisers with our pitch requirements and documentation list.

Still got a question?

Ask us directly — we would rather answer it now than have you guess.
